A Tribute from Grateful Lukers
Join us, the Class of 1976, in making a gift to honor the legacy of Wally Wescott through the schoolโs scholarship fund. Wally passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2026 at the age of 91. Inspired by stories shared at our recent 50th Luker reunion, this tribute offers a way for all who knew and loved Wally to recognize his lasting impact by supporting future students of St. Lukeโs School (now St. Thomas More).
Wallyโs Lasting Luker Legacy
Wally Wescott devoted more than 25 years to St. Lukeโs as everyoneโs favorite middle school teacher, athletic director, official and coach throughout the 1960s, โ70s, and โ80s. Wally coached generations of studentsโon the field and in the classroomโto become people of character and faith. He created the Project Fun summer program, the school newsletter, and the annual Rummage Sale. Alongside his wife Rosie, Wally was a constant presence in the life of the school, shaping a community that continues today, living in all of us.
We make this gift in gratitude to Wally and to carry on his love and legacy.
