Make a Gift Honoring Wally Wescott

A Tribute from Grateful Lukers

Join us, the Class of 1976, in making a gift to honor the legacy of Wally Wescott through the school’s scholarship fund. Wally passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2026 at the age of 91. Inspired by stories shared at our recent 50th Luker reunion, this tribute offers a way for all who knew and loved Wally to recognize his lasting impact by supporting future students of St. Luke’s School (now St. Thomas More).

Wally’s Lasting Luker Legacy

Wally Wescott devoted more than 25 years to St. Luke’s as everyone’s favorite middle school teacher, athletic director, official and coach throughout the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s. Wally coached generations of studentsβ€”on the field and in the classroomβ€”to become people of character and faith. He created the Project Fun summer program, the school newsletter, and the annual Rummage Sale. Alongside his wife Rosie, Wally was a constant presence in the life of the school, shaping a community that continues today, living in all of us.

We make this gift in gratitude to Wally and to carry on his love and legacy.
