Julia says that Saint Thomas More’s community is unlike anywhere else she has worked. She feels fortunate to spend her days and the last five years with the school’s wonderful children and families.

Her favorite teacher growing up combined intelligence with respect for students and a good sense of humor. These are qualities that continue to shape how Julia connects with her young learners.

Julia’s favorite saint is Saint Moses the Nubian, whose story reminds her that it is never too late to change one’s life for the better. Outside of school, she enjoys creating art and spending time with her cat. Her favorite children’s book is Moominsummer Madness, and New York is her favorite travel destination.
