Our 2026–27 Academic Year Extended Day program has reached capacity and registration is now closed.

After-School Care

Saint Thomas More offers convenient care options designed to support busy families while giving children a safe, welcoming place to spend time beyond the school day.

Our Extended Day Program provides after-school care for students in grades K–4, with time for snacks, outdoor play, homework and plenty of time with friends. Additional care is offered on select early release and school release days.

A Comfortable End to the School Day

At dismissal, students are accompanied to Extended Day by a Saint Thomas More staff member and checked in with the Extended Day team.

Snack & Recharge
Students begin the afternoon with a school-provided snack and time to unwind after the school day.

Outdoor Play
Weather permitting, children head outside for fresh air, movement and play with friends.

Homework & Quiet Time
Around 4:15 p.m., students come inside for approximately 20 minutes of quiet time. Students with homework may continue working in a designated space until their assignments are complete.

Time to Play
Students can enjoy free play and activities until they are picked up, no later than 5:30 p.m.

Extended Day at a Glance

Available to Saint Thomas More students in kindergarten through fourth grade.

Early Release Days

11:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
$35 per day

Extended Day care may be offered on designated early release days for students already enrolled in the program. Advance registration is required, and availability is dependent upon minimum enrollment.

Students should bring a cold lunch, as hot lunch is not served on early release days.

School Release Days

8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
$55 per day + activity costs

Care may be available on select non-holiday school release days. Families will receive advance information when care is offered and must pre-register.

Plan for Extended Day

Scheduling & Attendance

To help us maintain appropriate staffing and reliable care, families commit to the same Extended Day schedule each week.

Permanent schedule changes or withdrawal from the program require at least one week's notice by email to the Extended Day Coordinator. Requests to switch a contracted day may be accommodated when space permits.

For absences, written notice should be provided at least 48 hours before the scheduled attendance day. Refunds or credits are not provided for absences without the required advance notice.

Tuition & Billing

Communication & Pick-Up

Extended Day uses the Brightwheel app for day-to-day parent communication. Families should download the app and enable notifications so staff can reach them when needed.

For pickup, parents should enter through the double doors at the rear northwest corner of the school and use the Extended Day buzzer. A parent or authorized adult must come inside to pick up the student; children cannot be sent outside to a waiting vehicle.

Flexible Summer Care

Summer at Saint Thomas More gives families flexibility while keeping children active, engaged and connected.

Families can select individual program days, special activities and trips throughout the summer rather than committing to the entire season. Summer programming is available for preschool and school-age children, with schedules and registration information typically released in March.
