Our Jesuit Values
Committed to Excellence
Students are inspired to be their best in all endeavors, whether academic, interpersonal, athletic or extracurricular. This commitment permeates everything in our school.
Open to Growth
Students develop an intellectual curiosity that promotes life-long learning. They become risk takers—challenging themselves and eagerly taking on new experiences.
Committed to Doing Justice
Service is promoted within the school by inspiring students to volunteer their time, energy and talent in social outreach initiatives such as our Free Store, Christmas Toy Giveaway, food drives and other efforts.
Loving
Students practice kindness, develop empathy and form strong friendships. Students know that they are loved by God and by our entire STM community.
Religious
Our school day begins with prayer. Regardless of faith tradition, all students participate in school-wide, child-focused mass and lead monthly prayer services. We support the growth of every child’s relationship with God.
Leadership
Our leadership is active in the daily life of our school. Mr. Lofton teaches 8th grade religion, has recess duty, has story time with our preschoolers, and visits all of our classrooms regularly. Likewise, students regularly stop in Mr. Lofton’s office to tell him how their day is going. Fr. R.J Fichtinger also regularly visits the students in their classrooms.
Service
Saint Thomas More students are involved service and social justice projects throughout the school each year. Students participate in projects such as a Thanksgiving food drive, writing cards to soldiers, bringing in coins for Pennies for Patients, our toy giveaway, volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, and various other outreach efforts.
