Now in his 10th year at STM, Fr. R. J. continues to be humbled by the dedication people bring to creating a welcoming and inviting community. He appreciates that hospitality is more than something STM talks about—it is something students, families, faculty, and staff put into practice every day.
Kindness, generosity, and compassion are the qualities he remembers most from a favorite teacher. Saint Catherine of Siena is a favorite saint because of the boldness she demonstrated in working for justice.
Away from STM, Fr. R. J. enjoys attending sporting events with friends, including Twins games. The Sneetches and Other Stories by Dr. Seuss is a favorite children’s book, and one of the most memorable places he has visited is St. Francis Xavier Parish in Umbir, Meghalaya, India.
