Ian has been part of the STM staff since 2020 and says the community itself is what makes the school special to him. Looking back on his own education, he most valued teachers who cared about him, were genuine in their interactions, and showed compassion.
Saint Peter Claver is Ian’s favorite saint, both because he grew up attending a church named for him and because of Saint Peter Claver’s dedication to serving enslaved people arriving in Cartagena, Colombia.
Outside of STM, Ian enjoys playing basketball. Green Eggs and Ham is his favorite children’s book, and St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands is his favorite place he has visited.
