As Marie approaches her first anniversary at STM, she is especially grateful for the involvement and generosity of the school community. She loves seeing parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends show up for events, volunteer their time and talents, and make others feel welcome. From her first days at STM, Marie felt a strong sense of belonging.
She remembers a favorite math teacher who was funny, patient, and willing to spend extra time helping her understand a subject she found challenging. That teacher’s continued encouragement and genuine investment in her success made a lasting impression.
Saint Catherine of Siena is especially meaningful to Marie for her intelligence, wit, courage, and willingness to speak up for her faith and advocate for change. Marie also shares Saint Catherine’s April 29 feast day as her birthday.
Outside of work, she loves reading and spending time with her large family, and an ideal day off includes a good book and a cup of coffee. Alligator Baby by Robert Munsch remains a favorite children’s book. Ireland’s beautiful landscape, culture, traditions, and food make it her favorite place to travel.
