Melissa has taught PE and led the athletic program at Saint Thomas More for three years, but she’s been a part of the community for many more as a parent of three alumni. She says the school’s community is what makes this place special.
Her favorite teacher modeled patience, humor, and consistency. These are three qualities that translate naturally to teaching, coaching, and encouraging students to grow.
Joan of Arc is Melissa’s favorite saint because she fought for what she believed in and never backed down. Outside of school, Melissa enjoys working out, reading, and taking a good nap. The Library Lion is her favorite children’s book, and Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and northern Spain are among her favorite places she has traveled.
